Life in a small town or village often enables relationships between neighbors who can help each other as they age. Based on that idea, the “Village” movement was started in 2001 to help older adults in urban environments overcome isolation, increase social connections and provide a helping hand to each other. In the Village model, older adults stay connected via a network of activities, services and resources. Members of Villages typically range in age from their 50s through their 90s.

Our Village aspires to be a community to older adults in our neighborhoods, providing enriching programs and friendships in a time of life that can too often be marked by isolation and loneliness. We encourage you to become an active part of this supportive community.

Attend one of our programs or activities. Below are 2023 participants in the program to make valentines for isolated seniors in our communities. Making valentines, pictured below, are: Jiangang Guan; Patrick Cain; Mary Mallek; Anthony Lozano; and Rose McColl.
