Movie Chat Series (on Zoom)

Do you like to chat about movies? Participants view each film on their own and then join a group discussion and critique via Zoom. Movies are selected through discussion and a decision of Chat participants. Join the Movie Chat and bring your recommendations! This week’s movies are:

Rashômon            IMDB 8.2/10       (1950)

The rape of a bride and the murder of her samurai husband at a gatehouse–called Rashômon, are recalled at the murder trial from the conflicting perspectives of a bandit, the bride, the samurai's ghost and a woodcutter.

 McCabe & Mrs. Miller    IMDB 7.6/10     (1971) 

John McCabe arrives in town to set up a brothel/tavern and Mrs. Miller–a madam, becomes his business partner.  A corporation offers to buy them out, but he refuses, causing major problems for them and the town.
