Our previous location, Rewired Café, was damaged by fire in July, so our coffee and conversations will shift to the Broadway Armory dining room and will start at 9 a.m. Meet up with us there for lively exploration of each week’s topics.
Join hosts John Williams and Tom Murphy as the group explores interesting and sometimes controversial topics. Each week’s discussion is typically accompanied by some readings you’ll receive in advance via email. Topics for the subsequent week are decided at the previous discussion. This week’s topics are:
1). The first 100 days of Brandon Johnson’s administration: any significant successes or missteps to date? What can we infer about the future?
2). A Montana state court recently ruled in favor of young people who had alleged that Montana violated their constitutional right to a “clean and healthful environment“, (by reason of that state’s legislative protection of fossil fuels): What are PROs and CONs to use of the Courts to block the Legislature’s laws + policy on the climate?
If you are interested in participating in our discussions but are not on our distribution list, send an email to tjm2040@rcn.com and we will add you to the list.
