Can we restore nature? In seeking a means to heal our wounded planet, we should look to the painstaking, cautious craft of art conservation. New approaches to art conservation not only have transformed the conservation of cultural heritage but may be helpful for thinking about how we repair damages of all sorts: our homes, our health, our attitudes to nature, and even our personal relationships.
Presented by Liam Heneghan, an ecologist from Dublin who teaches at DePaul University.
Co-sponsored by the Edgewater Public Library.
