We’re looking for volunteers to write store-bought as well as create handmade valentine cards.  Cards don’t have to be elaborate; it’s your heartfelt message that counts!  The cards will go to isolated seniors in assisted living, nursing homes, long-term care communities and rehabilitation facilities. If you want to create homemade cards for older adults in our community, but need materials, a small supply of cards and crafting materials may be picked up at Edgewater branch. Please call or e-mail Librarian Katy (klinehan@chipublib.org) to reserve your bag. Only a limited supply will be available for walk-ins.

Open to all ages – children, teens and adults.

Please drop off the cards at the Edgewater Branch Library, 6000 N. Broadway in Chicago no later than Tuesday, February 8.
