Research shows it takes seven seconds or less for a criminal to select their next victim. How can you avoid becoming a target? Please join an officer from the 20th district of the Chicago Police Department for tips on how to lower your chances of being a victim of a crime, including carjackings.

This in-person presentation will be held in the library’s Betty A. Barclay Community Room. Registration is recommended, but not required. Please register on the library’s website or at the Edgewater Branch reference desk.

Presented by 20th District CAPS and the Community Justice Center.
