Loyola Community Health Topics: Helmet Safety

According to the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, wearing a helmet while riding a bicycle reduces the risk of a serious head injury by nearly 70% and of a fatal head injury by 65%.  Please join Loyola University Chicago Community Health nursing students as they present important information about helmet safety for both children and adults.  Learn why it's critical to always wear a helmet while riding a bike or scooter and find out how to choose a helmet to guarantee the right size and fit. There will be time afterwards for Q & A.
