Edgewater Village Chicago is holding a series of gatherings to chat about movies. Participants will view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom.  Movies are selected through discussion and a decision of Chat participants. The films for September 18 are Muriel’s Wedding (1994) and Ip Man (2008)

Muriel’s Wedding (1994) A young social outcast in Australia steals money from her parents to finance a vacation where she hopes to find happiness, and perhaps love.

Ip Man (2008) During the Japanese invasion of China, a wealthy martial artist is forced to leave his home. Ip Man and the other city residents must find ways to survive.

Copies of these movies are available on DVD at the Edgewater Branch library for checkout with your library card or you can watch them online through a streaming service of your choice.
