Movie Chat Series

Edgewater Village Chicago is holding a series of gatherings to chat about movies. Participants will view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom.  Movies are selected through discussion and a decision of Chat participants. Join the Movie Chat and bring your recommendations! This week’s movies are A Christmas Carol, A Christmas Story and The Bishop’s Wife.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL (1951) Ebenezer Scrooge, a curmudgeonly businessman, views Christmas as a waste of time. However, this Christmas Eve he will be visited by three spirits who will show him the errors of his ways.

THE BISHOP’S WIFE (1947) A debonair angel comes to Earth to help an Episcopalian bishop and his wife in their quest to raise money for the new church.

Copies of these movies are available on DVD at the Edgewater Branch library for checkout with your library card or you can watch them online through a streaming service of your choice.
