Movie Chat Series (on Zoom)

Join colleagues from Edgewater Village Chicago to chat about movies. Participants view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom.  Movies are selected through discussion and a decision of Chat participants. Weekend in Havana rated 6.6/10 (1941) Nan Spencer is on a boat bound for Havana which runs aground. The man sent to rescue her is engaged and she doesn't understand his disinterest. Gambler is interested, to the annoyance of his girlfriend.

Shadow Magic rated 7.1/10 (2000) In 1902 an Englishman brings a projector, camera and some movie shorts to open the Shadow Magic theater in Beijing. It faced major cultural barriers with the Chinese, but it captures the wonder of audiences experiencing motion pictures for the first time.
