Edgewater Village Chicago is holding a series of gatherings to chat about movies. Participants will view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom.
The films for May 8 are Murder on the Orient Express (1974), based on the Agatha Christie mystery novel, and Hitchcock’s Rebecca (1940).
Murder on the Orient Express: In December 1935, when his train is stopped by deep snow, detective Hercule Poirot is called on to solve a murder that occurred in his car the night before.
Rebecca: A self-conscious woman juggles adjusting to her new role as an aristocrat's wife and avoiding being intimidated by his first wife's spectral presence.
Copies of these movies are available on DVD at the Edgewater Branch library for checkout with your library card or you can watch them online through a streaming service of your choice.
Registration is required. You will receive an email with the link to join the online Zoom discussion group.
This program is co-sponsored by the Edgewater Public Library.
