Movie Chat Series

Edgewater Village Chicago is holding a series of gatherings to chat about movies. Participants will view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom. 

The films for June 5 are Casablanca (1942) and Count of Monte Cristo (2002).

Casablanca: Director: Michael Curtiz; Writers: Julius J. Epstein & Philip G. Epstein; Stars: Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Paul Henreid. A cynical expatriate American café owner struggles to decide whether to help his former lover and her fugitive husband escape the Nazis in French Morocco.

Count of Monte Cristo: Director: Kevin Reynolds; Stars: Jim Caviezel, Guy Pearce, Christopher Adamson. A young man, falsely imprisoned by his jealous "friend", escapes and uses a hidden treasure to exact his revenge.

Copies of these movies are available on DVD at the Edgewater Branch library for checkout with your library card or you can watch them online through a streaming service of your choice.
