Each week’s discussion is typically accompanied by some readings you’ll receive in advance via email. Topics for the subsequent week are decided at the previous discussion. This week’s topics are:

• Use of Chicago’s parks and sidewalks for NASCAR/ Lollapalooza and similar non-public activities: who actually decides? ideally, who should decide? are benefits to City outweighed by the disruption of the public uses?

• Future of Chicago: reasons for optimism; reasons for pessimism. Today, what is the City leadership doing right ... and wrong!
