Movie Chat Series

Edgewater Village Chicago is holding a series of gatherings to chat about movies. Participants will view each film on their own and then join a group discussion via Zoom.

The films for April 10 are Green Book (2018) and Sullivan’s Travels (1941).

Green Book: A working-class Italian-American bouncer becomes the driver of an African-American classical pianist on a tour of venues through the 1960s American South.

Sullivan’s Travels: Sullivan is a successful, spoiled, and naïve director of fluff films, who decides he wants to make a film about the downtrodden poor. He sets off in tramp's clothing with only a dime to experience poverty first-hand and gets some reality shock.

Copies of these movies are available on DVD at the Edgewater Branch library for checkout with your library card or you can watch them online through a streaming service of your choice.

Registration is required. You will receive an email with the link to join the online Zoom discussion group.

This program is co-sponsored by the Edgewater Public Library.
