Please join Katie Garrity from the Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) to learn about public transit accessibility. The presentation will run 40-45 minutes or so and the rest of the time is for questions or getting individualized help. We will be discussing accessible public transportation, how to plan a trip, the RTA Fare Programs (Reduced Fare and Ride Free), as well as ADA Paratransit and the Taxi Access Program (TAP). She will also provide information about using the new Peterson Metra station. For those interested in applying for a card, please bring an ID and proof of disability (if applicable). For those interested in applying for a Ride Free card, please complete the Benefit Access Program application through the Illinois Department on Aging prior to the event.
This in-person presentation will be held in the library’s Betty A. Barclay Community Room. Please register on the library’s website or at the Edgewater Branch reference desk.
Presented in partnership with the Edgewater Branch Library.
